PT MESITECHMITRA PURNABANGUN was originally formed in 1979 as a sub-division of PT META EPSI ENGINEERING to support their post-construction project for PT ARUN LNG. A proud pioneer as the first national private company in Indonesia to provide Maintenance and Operation Support Services for oil and gas industries, MESITECH became an independent company in November 1988.
MESITECH’s first contract with PT ARUN LNG was a long term service contract for plant maintenance, and covered almost all routine maintenance and turnaround activities for the ARUN LNG plant. Continuing from 8 years of successful performance with PT ARUN LNG, in 1996 MESITECH began providing services to PT BADAK LNG in Bontang, East Kalimantan. At that time, PT BADAK LNG was the world largest LNG producer. For almost ten years MESITECH was involved in numerous brownfield and turnaround projects along with three consecutive blanket plan maintenance contracts.
In line with our plans for growth and expansion, we decided to expand MESITECH services to include petrochemical refineries. These services include manpower supply to support maintenance programs and TAR activities for refineries such as PT CHANDRA ASRI PETROCHEMICAL and PT PENI.
In 2004, MESITECH achieved a milestone by obtaining a Maintenance and Operation Support Services Contract from CALTEX PACIFIC INDONESIA (now CHEVRON PACIFIC INDONESIA), in Riau. This oil field was well known as Indonesia's largest oil producer, and MESITECH was entrusted with maintaining Caltex pipelines and gathering stations. As time progressed, CPI awarded numerous other contracts to MESITECH and we decided to open a Branch Office at DURI to better handle operations. In 2008, BP awarded MESITECH a Maintenance Services Contract for their Tangguh Field in West Papua. We achieved the high standard and expectations of BP by delivering reliable mechanical maintenance and TAR services for 7 years.
MESITECH achieved another milestone and important leap forward in 2011 when we again expanded our services to include offshore facilities and PHE ONWJ became our first client. In line with the trust we have earned among our clients and partners across Indonesia, MESITECH is confident that we can grow further and better. We aim to make breakthroughs in providing effective and efficient maintenance services in compliance with the highest international standards. In the future, we hope to be able to expand our services and compete globally.
